There is no single pathway to becoming a mediator. Mediation is practiced in many settings, including private, voluntary mediation, workplaces, organizations, community programs, and—where applicable—court-connected mediation.

Most people begin by completing professional mediation training that develops core skills such as facilitation, communication, ethics, and conflict resolution. These skills can be used immediately in many private and non-court settings and can also serve as a foundation for court-connected practice where desired.

If you plan to serve as a court-approved mediator, additional requirements may apply depending on the state and type of mediation. For example, in Oklahoma, court approval for civil or family mediation requires completion of specific training hours and additional observation or experience requirements. Other states and court programs have their own standards.

Keiter Mediation offers professional mediation training designed to be broadly applicable, whether you plan to work in private mediation, organizational or workplace settings, or pursue court-connected mediation where appropriate. Our courses follow widely recognized professional mediation training standards and support a range of professional goals.

Payment is required to reserve a spot in a class. After payment is received in full, you will receive an email confirmation within one business day and your spot in the class will be reserved.

Your seminar fee is refundable minus a $200.00 administrative fee if you cancel your registration two weeks or more prior to the first day of the seminar.

All cancellations must be received in writing or via email.

Reschedule Anytime.

If you must reschedule your attendance at a seminar — you may transfer your registration one time without additional cost to another class within 12 months of the date of your original program.

All reschedule requests must be in writing or via email prior to the start of the seminar.

No-shows to a class cannot reschedule a date.

If you are unable to attend a seminar for which you have registered, you may send a substitute in your place. If you need to send a substitute, we ask that you notify us at least 1 day in advance of your seminar.

In the highly unlikely event that Keiter Mediation LLC must cancel or reschedule a program for which you are registered for any reason, we will refund your registration fees in full or transfer your registration at no cost to another course, whichever you choose. Keiter Mediation LLC is not responsible for participant expenses related to a program cancellation.

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and checks.

Credit Cards and PayPal immediately reserve your seat in the class.

With invoices, we will reserve your spot in the class for up to seven days while awaiting payment.

Most classes offer an Early Registration Discount up to $100 if you register more than 4 weeks out from a class.

A group discount of up to $100 is available if there are multiple registrations (i.e., more than one student registers at the same time).
