Do I Have to be An Attorney to Become a Mediator
Answer
Many attorneys become mediators. In many states (including Oklahoma), mediators do not need to be an attorney to be listed as a qualified mediator on a state roster of mediators. Even when state requirements require a mediator to be an attorney, the parties can choose whoever they wish to be their mediator regardless of whether they are an attorney.
At Keiter Mediation, we can help you become a mediator or extend our CLE’s. Please check out our mediation training.
