How Do I Become a Mediator in Oklahoma?

To become a court-approved civil and commercial mediator in Oklahoma, you must attend a 24-hour course approved by the MCLE Committee of the Oklahoma Bar Association. To become a court-approved divorce and family mediator in Oklahoma, you must attend a 40-hour course approved by the MCLE Committee of the Oklahoma Bar Association.
After completing the training, you will need to observe or conduct several mediations before qualifying and promoting yourself as a court-approved mediator. You’ll also need to keep up to date on your training through continuous learning with a minimum of 6 hours every other year. Courses offered by Keiter Mediation meet the training qualifications to become a court-approved mediator.
